Condition monitoring of submersible vertical pumps to predict equipment health requires more innovative methods than have historically been available. Historically, vibration measurements for vertical pumps are taken at the motor. At this location, a clear picture of what is occurring at the hydraulic assembly below is rarely accurate.

Some challenges include:
• Damping from the pump foundation
• False readings from excitation of the above ground stationary assembly
• Distance from sources of vibration in submerged locations


A New Solution
Ronds has developed an innovative solution to permit monitoring of the below ground assembly of vertical pumps to provide a more accurate and complete picture of pump health.
